Today I visited one of my favorite bookstores here in Stockholm, Konst-ig wich is an art bookstore with an ever-growing selection of books on art, architecture, photo, fashion, design and graphic design. I bought two books, The Print & Pattern Book and Packaging Templates by Ju Hai.

This time we take a look at the swedish graphic designer and illustrator Lotta Kühlhorn. Everything she does is amazing, so amazing.
Lotta Kühlhorn, 46 years of age, lives and works in Stockholm. Since the 1980’s she has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator.
Lotta is inspired by fashion, films, architecture and furnishings. She enjoys working hard, intensively and intuitively.

“Hyperactivitypography from A to Z is a rather unorthodox, but playful book about typography.
On first sight it looks like an old-school activity book for children, but it is actually a publication packed with pretty silly and complicated assignments for contemporary typography lovers.”
Great ideas and lovely illustrations by Camilla M. Lykaas, Kristian E. Sjølie, Ludvig Bruno Rossow, Maria Hammarstrøm, Mari Grafsrønningen, Studio 3 på Westerdals school of communication.
I will buy this book!

A couple of months ago, I bought this amazing inspiration book by Yurio Seki. It’s my favourite inspiration book, I love the paper it’s made of, and all her colorful, lovely collection of design, thoughts and patterns. This book also features her extensive design works for book and CD covers, magazines, etc. She’s known for her ‘Salvia’ patterns and I’ve got some of them too.
Her ‘Salvia’ patterns can be used not only for textiles, but also for interior products and cosmetic packages. I really like the pages for thoughts on green and thoughts on violet.
